This is to inform you all that we have suspended operations into and out of Ol Kiombo and Olare Orok Airstrip with immediate effect. This is due to the un serviceable state of both airstrips.

FLIGHT RESUMPTION AND SCHEDULE UPDATES Valid up to 15th DECEMBER 2020
Following the lifting of the inter-county lockdown by the President of Kenya, Safarilink is pleased to announce the resumption of domestic flights from 15th July 2020. Safarilink will initially operate a reduced schedule on some routes and gradually scale up as demand increases. Safarilink will follow strict compliance with all the new guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and other authorities, across all touchpoints to ensure the health and safety of all passengers and staff.
Below is a summary of our revised schedule effective from 15th July 2020:
Negative COVID-19 Certificates required.
Passengers are required to wear surgical face masks at all times.
ZANZIBAR /KILIMANJARO SERVICES:
Flights will resume from 15th August 2020.
Effective from 1st September 2020, the Government of Tanzania has introduced a Security Fee of USD 5 per person for all international passengers departing Zanzibar. This additional tax has been updated in our system and any existing bookings not ticketed will be automatically charged at the time of ticketing.

The afternoon flight No 025 at 1330Hrs from Wilson to Laikipia
Laikipia to Mara services on Flight nos. 021/031 will be routed via Wilson
**These services could operate subject to minimum 6 pax being booked
Nanyuki airstrip has been closed by KAA, but we are seeking clarification on whether they will allow us to use part of the airstrip. In the meantime, we will operate into Kamok only.
Lewa Downs and Loisaba strips have been restricted until the camps advise when they will re-open.
AMBOSELI / TSAVO Services
The afternoon flight no. 015/016 at 1400 is suspended until 15 December 2020.
Flight no.013/014 at 0730 into Tsavo suspended until camps advise when they will re-open.
Thereafter, the Tsavo route will be subject to a minimum of 4 passengers until 15 December 2020.
MASAI MARA Services
Mara – Coast (Mombasa/Diani) – suspended until 15th December 2020. Any passengers booked on this service will be routed via Wilson.
Mara Strips: We have suspended operations into Ngerende airstrip.
Cottars, Angama, and Siana strips will be subject to a minimum of 4 passengers per strip. Other strips remain at a minimum of 2 passengers per strip, but operations reserve the right to combine strips as and when required.
Mara – Migori service: SUSPENDED as the Migori strip has been closed by KAA for rehabilitation up to December 2021. Passengers booked on the Mara–Migori (v.v.) flights will need to book alternative routings.
LODWAR / KISUMU Services
We will operate a reduced frequency, which will be revised as the demand builds up.
Lodwar – 3 flights per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Kisumu – 7 flights per week on Monday (x1), Friday (x2), Saturday (x2), and Sunday (x2).
SUSPENDED as KAA has closed Kitale airstrip for rehabilitation up to December 2021.
Excess Baggage Purchase Options:
You can now purchase in advance excess baggage parcels of 1-10 Kgs, 11-20 Kgs, and 21 30 Kgs. These can be booked in advance in the same PNR of the passenger and must be purchased per flight.
The option to purchase the freight seat which permits confirmed carriage of an extra 75kgs is still available.
Discounted fares are available on safari routes on specific classes with limited seats. These fares can only be booked and paid online from our website www.flysafarilink.com.
We recommend that passengers check-in online to save time at check-in and secure their preferred seats. Seat numbers will be indicated on boarding passes and passengers will be required to maintain these seats once issued. It is also recommended to provide passengers passport details at the time of booking, in order to save time at check-in.
Cancellation and amendment policy update:
Any ticketed bookings cancelled within 7 days of travel will be charged 100% cancellation, regardless of Covid-19 related reasons, or restrictions imposed by Governments on non-essential travel.
Any ticketed bookings cancelled outside 7 days will be credited or refunded less a cancellation fee of $ 70 per ticket/per person.
Free up to 96 hours of travel.
Between 96 – 24 hours – $70 per person
Within 24 hrs – $ 120 per person

Safarilink Temporary Suspension Of Scheduled FlightsReceived on – 01st April 2020
Safarilink Aviation is closely following the developments of the COVID-19 outbreak and continues to comply with local governments, international governments and WHO’s recommendations by taking measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
As per the Kenyan government’s directives and in the spirit of ensuring social distancing and to limit domestic travel, SAFARILINK will temporarily suspend all scheduled passenger services from 1st April 2020 to 31st May 2020 inclusive. However, we will operate charter flights on an as-need basis. Scheduled services will resume from 1st June 2020.
The health and wellbeing of our customers and employees remain our highest priority, and we will do everything possible to assist you with your upcoming travel plans.
Bookings that have been ticketed and fully paid for, can be amended to a later date with no penalties, provided the new flight itineraries are completed by 31st March 2021 subject to any difference in fare. Non-ticketed or bookings that have not been paid for will be canceled. Passengers who wish to fully cancel their flights and are unable to travel at a later date should contact us directly on firstname.lastname@example.org.
We highly recommend that you postpone your bookings to a later date and therefore require your support by notifying us on the alternative dates and/or the action that you would like to be taken on your bookings.
